This movie was incredible! An amazing thoughtful editing, great nostalgia and a delicate yet beautifully balanced diverse cast. Definitely THE disney action film for a new generation of children 🙂

This is what happens when movies spend twice the money on promotions and buying media approval instead of focusing on making a good film.
Its not review bombing. The films bad. And rather then accept it as a piss poor effort they try to force this notion of disgruntled racists all the time.
Like.. the fact there are so few positive reviews written by normal people should indicate that its not your population you should blame.
This is not art done by people but for a computer.That does not count as art for the actors, but for the computer just like scifi and marvel movies. This is why I no longer watch them, just another special effects waste of time.
The movie was good. They changed a few things but the story is still the same. Also, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula was hilariously good and Hallie Bailey did a good job playing Ariel.
I'm so proud of everyone for holding out and NOT going to support this garbage and my latino community especially. It's tanking worldwide except in progressive CA, NYC, etc. I'm so happy this is flopping HARD, and it will be one of the biggest flops this year!

I went to see TLK live animation, because the 1994 version is my fav of all. It wasn't as fun: realistic animation made characters less expeessive and actual Swehilith was removed in favor of an American, English speaking singer.

Review bombing is when people watch a movie, don’t like it, and leave a bad review. However, in their unlimited pride and ego, the media cannot accept that their movie was bad. So they make up terms like Review bombing to explain away their failures.
I mean, ofcourse it was a great movie, literally hundreds of people watched and liked it…
OR its just actually a bad movie!!!
Theoretically, disney could have created an African adaptation of the original story using known African mermaid myths…you know…something more original…worth 250 million. Some have also mentioned songs being written for Halle's voice and singing style.
