Turkey and Syria earthquakes: BBC News Review 2022

The story:
Turkey has been hit by another powerful earthquake.
Two weeks ago, tremors affecting Turkey and Syria killed over 44,000 people and left thousands homeless. The latest quake has caused many buildings weakened by earlier tremors to collapse.

  4. I had to study synthetic phonics for my son as unfortunately his school (here in Egypt) still applies the old balanced literacy approach leaving kids to guess out on their own the sounds to letters correspondence.
    I watched many teachers saying we should avoid adding the schwa souding to the initial sound of letters. So why do you say də if it is more precise to just say /d/?
