Teenager blinded by chips and junk food diet – News Review reviews

A British teenager has been ‘blinded’ by eating a diet of nothing but chips, crisps and other junk food for the last 10 years. This has led to a vitamin shortage and caused irreparable damage to his eyesight.

The story
Experts are warning about the dangers of fussy eating. It’s after a medical journal reported the case of a 17-year-old who suffered severe damage to his eyesight after living on a diet of chips and crisps since leaving primary school. Tests have revealed he had severe vitamin deficiencies and malnutrition.

  22. Hi, in my opinion, I don't think that that guy has gone blind because of the lack of certain food or vitamin deficiency.
    There are millions of people who don't have enough food around the world and yes those people are suffering many medical problems but they aren't going blind.
    The world is full of famines.
    I think that guy, I feel sorry for him, has a genetic problem because bread, chips, and sausage have many vitamins that can compensate his lack of eating vegetables.
