Review: Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro hits the shelves – BBC News reviews

August 7, 2023

The iPhone 14 Pro has been released and, while it looks broadly similar to its predecessors, it boasts a raft of new features, according to BBC technology show Click.

This includes an always-on display screen, which Apple claims is not a major drain on battery, and a new feature called the Dynamic Island.

Replacing the black notch that previous phones have, it now acts as a “screen for notifications.”

Additionally, the phone has a number of new safety features, though most mobile users will hope that they will never need to use them.

  3. I have 11 pro max and would like the extra rigid squared frame , but don’t see upgrading at that price point..rather wait and buy used

  6. Meh.

  7. Hmm it's just like the last 13

  8. If the battery drain was the same as the current iOS 16.0.2, then no point in buying, my iPhone has had battery drain since iOS 15, effecting my iPhones 10 and 13 Pro, unless Apple can fix the problem, then no point in upgrading.

  9. Android has had AOD since the Moto X in 2016

  10. BBC news Mommy you still looks beautiful MILF😍😘

  11. in 2023…………..i'm not sure i'd own an iphone………or any cell phone made in the U.S. Quite possible that the coverage may not be so good.

  18. Erm…A 3 minute advert for Apple on the BBC. This is why you shouldn't pay your license fee

  19. Well, if you're wealthy enough to pay for it, have a massive online presence and are obsessed with selfies to add to your borderline obnoxious social media accounts, this is the phone for you. 😏

  20. Look at the sheep 🍎

  21. When a reviewer doesn’t know the difference between aluminium and stainless steel…🤔

  22. Amazing coincidence, I had an accident in a remote part of Nottingham whilst taking selfies through my car windscreen with wind turbines in the background. 😮😮😮
