Alexa Sunshine83 –
just wanted to say that this is definitely more personal to MY style versus a lot of the conversations around this are more general, but because I think fashion is SO PERSONAL saying something isn't timeless for you doesn't mean it isn't timeless for other people! so yeah I'm sure there's things that I said were "timeless" that aren't necessarily timeless for everyone! Also there's nothing wrong with an item being trendy, like I said in the video, and trying trends can be fun and can be a great way to expand your comfort zone if you really like a specific trends!
Emo Mommy –
I love cargo pants because Iβm non-binary and they help my gender dysphoria
kittikoko β Isle of Wight –
Dungarees/denim overalls are definitely a wear-them-forever kind of thing for me. They're just so practical with all the pockets and they're hard-wearing and perfect for adventuring. π
Essentially Michelle Griffith, LMT –
Itβs beautiful initially hearing your statement of timeless including personal preferences and being understanding of others in this. Iβd love in future videos tho letting go of excessive worry about offending other. πβ₯οΈyour creative energy and even comedy (ie. that your cats would go crazy around feather clothing) is fun
Strannnge –
I guess rule of thumb is, if you were wearing it two-three years ago, then itβs timeless (same thing in reverse, something you wear now, would you have worn it two-theee years ago ?). Vests are not timeless, baggy jeans are (mid-rise is a safer option). Anything denim is good, itβs really the cut that are going in and out of style, so always go for the most classic cut (for exemple, a circle skirt for the long denim skirt, the straight cardboard-ish one isnβt going to stay relevant in my humble opinion).
Itβs difficult to find yourself fashion wise, I just donβt recommend spending money on a lot of trendy, youβll regret it later π

Long Jean skirts were definitely a trend in the early 2ks for at least a while. I have a picture of myself wearing one in high-school.
Raegan Scarlett –
I love your hair! How do you style your bangs??
genevieve marie –
you should start a podcast!! i would def listen to it π and you have a good podcast voice!
Francis Garcia –
i think this was a funny video bc it really was basically if you knew how to style it: timeless & if you never got quite comfortable w styling it: trendy π
Alexandria –
my favorite way to wear a claw clip is by doing a regular twisted bun and then securing it with a clip instead of a hairtie or scrunchie. i have a lot of hair and it works so much better than the other options
Alexandria –
part of me wants overalls, like the big oversized ones, id put patches and embroidery on them. but the other part of me knows i drink lots of coffee and tea, and i dont want to have to undo and redo the straps every time i go pee lmao. at least its not as bad as rompers, because with overalls you wear a shirt underneath
L A –
I like that you qualify each trend as being a timeless piece for an individual. I think as we grow with our style, trends get adopted into core timeless pieces. For myself, a subtle cottage core is something that I will wear forever – puff sleeves, lace, corsets shape, sweetheart necklines. I hope everyone gets to a point when there are trends only to introduce people to new styles and it gets adopted to their whole style. Not everyone has to buy or wear low rise jeans, you just have to find whatβs perfect for you!
Alexandria –
long denim skirts have nice elementary school teacher vibes
Precious M –
Yes, I love my long denim skirt, it works in any season.
Duchesse de Berne –
Claw clips were my life as a teenager. And scrunchies. Hair twirled in a bun and always a big fat scrunchie around it
VΓ’nia –
Yes corsets and cowl necklines are unconfortable, but so are court shoes like the louboutins red bottoms and those are timeless. Confort does not equal timeless
rockyraaacoon –
I get what youβre saying about the opera gloves style… I find it funny to hear you say βgloves are a trendβ when actual gloves just an article of clothing with function π«
Lauryn Amini –
I really loved this video, and I know I say that all the time but it's true! π But anyway, I really liked your take on the trendy vs timeless thing and I also loved when you compared some of the pieces against each other, it really gives a different perspective on it.
freyacore –
how are denim maxi skirts timeless? i haven't seen anyone wear them irl.
Ame Mtz –
Love this vid π
NicoleM SΓ‘nchez –
I think the "is it a trend or is it fashion?" goes right in hand with "is it fashion or is she just skinny?"
Megan Parker –
Hey, why are all of the reference photos skinny white women?????
These trends are for all, but not represented here.
Also, neon on black people is much much better than white people lol
pigsinhats –
This video is more of like what Alexa likes right now π I would have liked to see a more critical analysis of Alexa looking back in her wardrobe over the years to identify what pieces have ACTUALLY been timeless or trends for her. But to say leather blazers are timeless because she really likes them and has been wearing them for a year doesnβt really do this video justice
w lammy –
Love this video! And for me, I have been wearing denim overalls since I was 3 yrs old (so for 31 yrs!) and I intend to wear them for at least 31 more years!
Elena Benotti –
Platform sandals scream Lizzie Mcguire, I cannot detach them from Disney Channel and elementary school lol
Emmanouela Zorzou –
does anyone know where the first platform boots she showed are from ? Also loved the idea behind the video but i would like to add another category: things that are always being worn throughout time but become more mainstream "trendy" for a bit and then fall back to being "just around" for a while
Imogen KUSUMA –
ballet core makes me simultaneously cry and laugh bc literally all i wear to ballet class is like a tshirt and sweatpants over my leotard and tights
Emmy –
This was fun! To me, timeless means something youβd feel comfortable wearing from your 20s, through your 30s, in your 40s, etc. Something that you wouldnβt do videos about in 5 years cringing at the photos and roasting yourself π (the way you feel about some of the trendy styles from your school years). Itβs those things that can be practical, comfortable and elegant at once, imo.
Karol Aldana –
I feel like corsets are just a updated take on the lingerie tops people were wearing in like 2016
Fugo Pannacotta –
Hi, thank you for this video. It was really nice π. I just wanted to share my opinion. Personally I think that knitted vests and waistcoats are both timeless. I just absolutely love wearing both, as someone who fell for the vintage/retro (idk how to call it) style about a year ago. I don't really like the way the waistcoat is sometimes styled without anything. However, I love when I wear it on a shirt. I think I just really like some menswear, even though I am a girl.π
Melody Searcy –
There is also a difference between a fad and a trend. Trends (ex. wide leg pants)usually last a few seasons while fads(ex. The feather tube top) pass more quickly. Love your videos!
Misaki T –
Baggy jeans are definitely a trend
Cymone Archer –
I think platforms will always be a stable in your closet once you're petite like me (I'm 5'2).
Carolyn England –
Bandana tops have been super popular at County Fairs in Ohio for as long as I can remember.
Carolyn England –
Denim overalls are timeless … I just never really liked how they fit me.
Taylor T –
denim maxi skirts aint timeless that is church girl attire
Monica Ehlermann –
i loved this video! thank you for doing it.
Olive Miller Mattis –
as a dancer, ballet-core is kinda crazy to me because people used to always look at me weird when i was wearing my leotard coming back from dance and now itβs trendy?? crazy
Lauren B –
As a short person, IMO the platform shoe, of any variety, is definitely timeless.
Madi –
I agree Jean styles should never go out of style because there are so many different body types that just need a different style and fit pair of denim pants
Bailey Schildberg –
I have a video idea!! What if you did something like a βif I went to Coachella, this is what I would wear videoβ in Alexa style π
Olive Miller Mattis –
this is a such an interesting video! βοΈβ€οΈ
