Sony's new noise-canceling sports earbuds are here! (review) reviews

Added to wishlistRemoved from wishlist 0

The WF-SP800Ns are similar to Sony’s great WF-1000XM3 true wireless earbuds, but they’re IP55 water-resistant and have “arcs” to keep the buds locked in yours ears. Are these the sports buds you’ve been waiting for?

    the system for naming is not that bad:
    WH = Wireless Headphones
    WF = Wireless Freedom
    CH = Casual Headphones
    X = Extreme
    N = Noise cancelation
    SP = Sport
    XB = Extra Bass
    1000 = The best of the category
    500 ~ 900 = mid-range
    less than 500 = budget

    Does anyone else call them Spoons? Just got my pair and it's way easier to call them my spoons.

    The one i have works out really well with mobile phones, no delay, completely smooth (and I've tried this with more than 1 mobile phone)

    As with laptop (i;ve tried this on more than one laptop as well) it is annoyingly lags (not sort of a delay), noise keeps going loud and soft, its like listening to a radio.

    Anyone coming across that or know what's going on?

    million thx in advance!

    Ok so I got these headphones and have the same problem, that the largest eartip provided is still too small for my ears. What is the XL sized eartips that you used?

    Why do people actually care about the size? The bigger the better I think, as with all the technology and bass integrated! As well it's wireless, and people actually are observing that there is something in your ears, so they won't bother you asking stupid questions. I love my new white WF-SP800N's! I just don't get why every reviewer wear them wrong!

    which is better among these (Sony WF – SP800N), the Bang & olufsen E8 motion, the Bang & Olufsen E8 2.0 or the Sennheiser CX 400BT?

    Review is done well and not at the same time. It’s a sport model and little mention how well it stays in ear doing various sport activities

    Agree they should be much less expensive. I am disappointed in noise-cancelling function. My Amazon Echo Buds did a 100% better job in noise-reduction, for $89.

    Just bought these, threw them in my ears and hated them, nearly returned them, but first i changed the eartips to the largest ones, played my favorite song, and my jaw dropped. once you get the right fit, these blew me away.

    I mean sure the naming isn't the best for new consumers, but once you understand their naming schemes its actually kinda great for condensing what they are

    Hi, what was the larger ear tip you used? I've really struggled with this, finally found some on an old set of Anker earbuds, but despite trying many styles of larger ear tips, none work as efefctively. It needs a short very wide fitting I think.

    Worst Headphones I have ever used. Wish I had bought the iPhone, JBL, or Bose headphones. When you activate the noise cancellation it hurts the ears. God what a fraud, never expected this from Son t

    Love mine. Unlike the WF 1000s these stay in the ear and last forever while giving a little on the performance. Only con is that I bought these to use on bike rides. Because they stick out, I get a fair amount of wind noise that I dont with another set of buds that are more flush to the ear.

    Where did you get your extra large ear tips? My ear canal is also quite large and I have a very hard time finding anything with a proper seal.

    Thank you
    But I want to know – is the 800 model the latest version of the 1000 ?

    Is the 800 model better than the 1000 model?

    Do these have a fast-forward/rewind (song scrubbing, not next/previous track) feature? The WH-1000XM3's have the swipe+hold feature where you can scrub forward/back through songs. Haven't seen any reviews address this feature on the WF-SP800Ns.
