It only takes one person to start a revolution. The extraordinary story of Steve Jobs, the original innovator and ground-breaking entrepreneur who let nothing stand in the way of greatness. The film tells the epic and turbulent story of Jobs as he blazed a trail that changed technology — and the world – forever. (c) Official Site

the film is full of crap Steve jobs was nothing like the Steve in the film
he wasn't some genius like the film made him out to be the reason he was important was because he had a vision and a scene of style
and made technology more accessible for people who weren't tech savvy that is why why apple products are easy to use
Chuck Mark –
I believe Fassbender is surely the better actor between the two, but for me, the Fassbender movie would only have been great if it hadn't been about Steve Jobs. Kutcher is literally the spitting image of the young Jobs, and imitates his voice and mannerisms extremely well. Fassbender on the other hand looks nothing like Jobs and has that strange Irish twang in his accent that makes no sense. I just found it hard for me to get to believe that Fassbender was Jobs, whereas sometimes the resemblance between Jobs and Kutcher was creepy.
Shannon Levy –
I didn't think it was that bad. I actually like Ashton so maybe that was a factor. The Steve Jobs movie with Michael Fassbender was basically screaming the entire time and had better moments but this had a bigger picture I think.
Thomas Baron –
All that you complain about in the film; Kutcher having only 2 modes being either too quiet, or too loud. That's how Steve Jobs was in real life.
So Jin Choi –
+Brenden No, it was introduced in 2001.

I saw it was on netflix so I thought I'd put it on. I went into it with pretty low expectations, but I have to say that this is probably the best acting I've ever seen by Ashton. I commend his effort. Josh Gadd was also nice in his role. But the screenplay could have been way better.
Z Mc’Dee –
But steve jobs didnt form Apple. He just took over.
Bob –
How did Ashton Kutcher become famous? I guess he's inspiring to people who can't act worth a shit and still make it in Hollywood.
shechshire –
I watched the movie this afternoon. The movie felt like it was lacking in story & acting on Ashton's part. I have to agree with most of their comments. It was a big disappointment.
mathias brandtberg –
The movie just sucked they skipped all the major conflicts and other problems they had.
They didn't even mention that Microsoft was a big part of apple before they made windows and thy didn't show how they got the gui interface. Also manny of the facts was wrong.

You will appreciate this film more if you have read the bio. I think it's incredibly challenging to cover his life in a film.

2:43 in to this video….no review…just them talking about facts of the movie. can someone please tell me what time stamp to skip to in order to get to the review of the movie?
Preet Mendiratta –
Perhaps the only thing I liked about "Jobs" was seeing Ashton Kutcher maturing his acting repertoire, but otherwise, the movie was total bullshit! Common Apple fans, go watch it and as for the disciples of Steve Jobs, I wouldn't recommend it at all!

I hated this film! I remixed the trailer to how most people actually felt about the film, Suck on this Kutcher! "Jobs Trailer Remix Parody by Ian H" youtube dot com/watch?v=POW2uf-10vA
Greg Dawe –
did you watch the review. they said it was shit
Chris Nilsson –
Hopefully it won't be crappy like most of the movies Ashton Kutcher has been in.

Please learn more about the history of computers than the mainstream "PC" vs Apple. What about the Amiga or Acorn? The latter spawned the ARM processors we all use now in phones and tablets. What about the Unix side with Sun, SGI, DEC, HP, and others? Most of that has died but lives on with BSD (including Mac OSX and iOS) and Linux (including Android). There's a lot more to computing than the current shiny crap mass-produced for hoards of consumers.

LOL….. Honestly google stuff already…. Or youtube the video "Did Apply Really Ever Invent Anything"….
Also, "Alienware" isn't a kind of computer… It's just a normal PC with a pretty case…
Billy Mech –
He was a dick
Matt Blackert –
you're ignorant… I've used two kinds of computers alienware and a mac. In my opinion dealing with both of these computers, I think apple is far superior considering the fact that everything is easier to do. Sure on pc there are more software and stuff but unless you know a bunch about computers already mac is definatly the way to go. Plus if apple was never invented then it would of taken at least 10 more years to have the technology we have today. SO don't say everyones opinion is wrong.

steve jobs isn't some sort of god i wish people would stop acting like he is.
Sephiroth766 –
This iMovie sucked
michael lee –
FUCK steve and this lame ass actor chris what ever and the FUCK this iMovie
Chris Wright –
Fuck this movie if it suggests Steve Jobs created Breakout. Conceptualized by Nolan Bushnell and Steve Bristow, prototyped by Steve Wozniak.
Alexander K –
I agree jobs is overhyped. But Apple isn't just marketing. The iPod took the mp3 player and made a superior design. Mac's are preferred by the music industry and computer programmers… So your remark is too simplistic.
anthony cheesman –
how does a steve jobs movie end without him dying lol
Benjamin Decker –
what a bullshit. you know nothing PeterK1984

Counterquestion: What did he add to those (long pre-existing) technologies that made them NOT fail (btw, neither was failing).
I never said he was not good at selling stuff. I just said that the products are not actually technologically superior or innovative. They sell through image and marketing.

That's what the company is now, but back in the day he played a key role in bringing up the industry. I know it's fun to hate on the successful and belittle their achievements wherever humanly possible, but at least do it when you know what you're talking about. I don't like what Apple has become in the past decade like most people, but I don't pretend they were never important.
Zsmart –
I love my Ipod classic, but that's the only apple product I own.
Lineage2Ertheia –
Eh, the notebook was better.
Vince Omega –
Eh, the book was better.
jamie beets –
well apple's products kinda copied Braun i mean really they look alike.
Michael Lopez –
Every other brand copies apple, buddy.
Tommy Lien –
yup Jobs was an AHole. I had a friend like him chemically imbalance with the lack of common sense to the public.

in my honest opinion about apple. i think all they are is a company that repaints things. other company -invents car- apple -paints car white- the "sheep" are like "yeah you may have a car but mine is in white and it has this neat logo on it" normal people "but can it do this? or this? or this?" sheep "no but but it looks more expensive so it must be better"
Jean Paul Rampersad –
Well, I wouldn't be making ASSUMPTIONS if they had said that they have done what I said before.
Jean Paul Rampersad –
They are SAYING they haven't seen it.
Void –
Ok? Any man who is talented enough to gather flocks of sheep (consumers) and market a idea that sells to them, is a genius in his own right.

Movie seems ridiculously ridiculously too soon.. maybe in 30 or 40 years it would be cool ?
Leroy Dean –
Before something like 1981 or maybe 82, there was no such thing as a home computer. The internet was reserved for the military. To some this may seem like a long time ago. But in less than 30 years, there has been this tremendous explosion of technology. Until now. Each year we are introduced to a new phone, a new PC or tablet or T.V. But it's not really new. Just a little faster or smaller or bigger. But it hasn't changed. It would be interesting to see a film that explored that.
Peit Kiet –
well not only that. But steve jobs was the guy that thought of selling computers and then later thought up the process of how about we sell to normal people. So if you have a computer right now it was more of a steve jobs push. just saying, the guy had visions about what the world wants.
Peit Kiet –
well you may have, but i haven't seen tablets all over with everyone using them until the ipad. The iPad was the device that did it man. I think windows tablets were very bad, and thats why tablets were not widely used in hospitals.the small icons didn't make sense. but anyhow,i hear now schools are also going to be giving out ipads to students.in fact an LA school district chose to buy 678 dollar ipad for 1500 children rather than a 200 dollar microsoft surface. the dominance of iOS and Android
Vebinz –
These three obviously know nothing about computers,s ine they seem to have bought the Apple hype.
If the movie does end in 1996, then it makes sense that it doesn't address Jobs' impact since he had none until the next decade with the portable i-products.
Oh, and the Apple II was a piece of shit.
