Design as Art by Bruno Munari — is this useful for designers? | BOOK REVIEW reviews
Can we see design as art? Design as Art by Bruno Munari is an eye-opening, casual read, which argues by showing how designers apply aesthetic principles even when only considering the function and form of their creations. It is more fun than useful for designers who are well established, but to beginners, it can make a very inspiring gift!

Know any good art theory books? Let me know in the comments! I upped my rating from 2* to 3* as I think a lay general audience will enjoy this, but I doubt contemporary designers will get much from this.

Zigmas Martinionis –
What would you offer to read for post modern graphic designer or graphic communication designer? Yes the the book was fun to read and simple to understand i think it makes it a good read on the go or as a reminder of simple concepts. Nice review, looking forward for some suggestions! Thank you a lot!

Sorry but I cannot agree with some of your comments. It is clearly a historical document and needs to be seen as such, what 'new concepts' did you think it would give up? Remember that to understand the past allows you to create a new future.

I like your channel! You deserve more subscribers. By the way, go and search for smzeus . c o m. Ever since I started using it on my main channel my videos are ranking much better!

Greatings from Russia!
Just finished with it, and I have that unpleasent sort of mixed feelings. Despite the fact, that there were some useful refs ('pulse'-rhythm of the bamboo shape, 'unuseful machines' and Japanese house compactness and architectural flexibility for me as a beginner were something I can be inspired by), I felt that the graphic design part (which I was mostly into since the beginning of my design journey) was evidently weak and outdated, so yeah, I agree with you so much about that!
Thank you for your review, it helps me to digest the content of this one, and make myself a little bit more relieved that I'm not the only one, who's not 100% supported the author with his opinion!
By the way, your simbiosis work with neurobiology is an incredible stuff!
Hey Y’all Listen Up –
Interesting review. The other video was interesting as well, although a bit outside my expertise. Since you said the section on industrial design was the strongest, I be on the lookout for a copy when I am in a used bookstore.
