Can you please review the Sony 32 inch PVM-X3200 ? Can it be used for HDR video editing in Davinci Resolve instead of using the super expensive $30,000 one?

So … does anyone have a good advice which display to buy instead of the Pro Display XDR for design- and photo-workflows?

Anything with a comparable good color representation and a 32” 4-5K display. Thunderbolt / USB-C and a clean an simple design would be nice.

Max price should be $ 3000 any tips would be very much appreciated!!

Apple's marketing is always so vague. Their graphs are incomprehensible. Great review. Thanks for explaining the differences to a lay person.

“For its beautiful design, the Pro Display XDR may find its way into the office of a divorce lawyer; and for its high-peak brightness that can be sustained in fullscreen, it may appeal to a YouTuber wanting to produce HDR videos without caring too much about low-light accuracy.” LOL!

True. But Pro Display XDR is still the only monitor incorporating 3 major features into one box at the same time: Retina display, large-enough screen size, and certain level of mini led-like HDR. At its root Apple is still a computer company, which means what it builds and sells are all round computer systems. That is why Pro Display XDR should still be positioned as a computer monitor rather than a real-pro monitor for industry-level video content creation, and nobody will try to stare at a HX310 for clearly discerning or writing any characters on it. The only problem is the ridiculously priced stand, a personal advice is a third-party VESA-compatible replacement, then you are all set.
