We all know that relationships are important, but do we take them for granted? The Rt Hon Lord John Alderdice has been involved in building some of the most important international relationships of the 20th and 21st centuries and at TEDx Omagh, he gives us his insight into what we can do to make sure we maximise the return on our relationships.

A fantastic talk from the most fantastic of people.

John Alderdice played a significant role in the negotiation of Good Friday Agreement and was appointed the first Speaker of the new Northern Ireland Assembly in 1998. He served until 2004 when he was appointed by the British & Irish Governments as one of the international commissioners overseeing security normalization in Ireland.

His work on peace building has been recognized with many fellowships, honorary degrees and prizes and most recently in 2015 with Liberal International’s highest honour – the Prize for Freedom.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
