damn, it would have been really nice if there was at least one couple of colour… Love Jones? Mississippi Masala? [awkwardly chuckles]

Loving the person you can disclose everything to is certainly a beautiful model of intimacy in love.

The meaning of Titanic is that you need to let people go, when one of their main sayings is never let go? I'm not trying to be rude, but as a huge Titanic fan, I don't understand how you got to that conclusion.

The title says he's a couple's therapist, then he says he's a social worker. Hmmm. 🤔

As I look at this video my eye keeps getting drawn to the left to what appears to be a white laptop lid with the word "Fail" on it-a sticker? Seems an odd thing to have in an otherwise bare video. I am wondering at it's purpose and meaning in relationship to the video and the topic.

It got me really emotional when he said "I accept all the parts that you don't like, all the parts that you're not thrilled with…We all have histories that we're not super proud of" I opened up to this girl and I loved her even with her past mistakes and all and yet she judged me

I'm genuinely worried about the number of toxic relationships that are romanticised. Damon and Elena, Chuck and Blair, pretty much anyone Rory dated on Gilmore Girls.

She didn't have to let him go. She should have pulled his ass up and used him like a blanket.

Oh i so hate jack & rose, there was room on the debri or floating object she was on, for him to also climb onto 🙄 rose kinda ‘killed’ jack, just saying.

    My takeaways…
    1. When dating simple ask "Do I want to see this person 1 more time?"
    2. when there's "silent treatment" ask "what does the silence mean?"
    …this is life-changing wisdom 😐

I think Jack was a real kick start, symbolically, for Rose to get to live a life she could really be happy. She was stuck in her social bubble and her love for Jack bursted it completely. It gave her perspective that there is really much more to live out there and she did (we briefly see the pictures of her travels and adventures in the film). So, despite being sad the fact he died, he really gave her a beautiful present: the courage to live a life of her own. Their love is really inspiring in my opinion and does not create an illusion, but teach us to keep loving ourselves no matter what.

I'm not sure any of these were a representation of a relationship where 1 partner had borderline personality disorder. I think that might have helped me figure some things out.

I honestly loved the way how this guy put every single point straight, and actually what happens in every relationship and every kind . at what stage. This is truly beautiful and accurate enough to make it short and understandable for non-therapists and non-psychologists.
