The Haval Jolion has arrived on the South African car market with all the subtlety of The Rock putting on a Springbok shirt and tackling all our own players.

As of June 2021, the Jolion is now the 5th best-selling passenger car in South Africa! And Haval has overtaken Nissan in the month-to-month sales rankings. It’s an incredible success story, especially for a Chinese brand in our market.

Quite simply, this Chinese SUV is turning the market upside down, and destroying the notion of market segments. You can get into a Jolion for R299,000, far less than even a mid-spect Polo. And a top spect Jolion, at just under R400,000, blows absolutely everything in its price range out of the water, in terms of luxury and tech.

We’ve been excited to bring you this review, and we know you’ve been waiting for it. So here we go, please enjoy our Haval Jolion review, and let us know what you think of the car in the comments below.

  1. Too many of these cars on South African roads, but I never saw one in Kenya. I don't know why. Nevertheless, i'm one of those who's been requesting for a review. They're beautiful cars!

  2. Similar way that Aussie guy described about this car , don’t know who’s coping whom 🤷🏿

  3. What would the parts prices be like, and resell value?

Does anyone know how to turn the indicator sound down?

  6. I am working in haval part inventory ordering and before working with Nissan . HAVAL engine and gear box and electronics is much better , and i am going to purchase jolain soon 🤞

  7. Still a lot of South Africans will not buy a Chinese vehicle… sure they had many issues 15 years ago but I think those days are in the past.

  8. Excellent video. Thanks so much. I looked at these products today and was blown away by the fit and finish.

These Haval can’t even go off roading?

Why do you people buy this piece of crap!

  10. How hard were you driving to reach 12L/100km?

cause i am interested in purchasing on but with that fuel range i'd rather say no

  11. X1 fully specd .you said the x1 is almost half the price of the jolion that's an understament its triple the jolion price

  12. Car name that sounds like " Cult Religion group" I will never buy it. KIA much better car brand I can trust.

  13. I have a Jolion 2021. Great car. Loving it.

  14. This car proves that we're being robbed by the usual auto makers. So much more car for far less money

  15. The Chinese are disrupting every single market there is. Cars, phones, computers, trucks, earth moving equipment. It's incredible what they can make for a significantly lower price.

  16. 12l a 100km? That adds up after few years of driving and then its not as cheap as it claims to be. That engine doesnt shine eather. Perhaps you get what you pay for?

  17. As a matter of principle I will not buy this car ever. It's Chinese.

No it’s utter garbage. Drives like an epileptic donkey. Lane keep assist tries to kill you. Really bad experience for me

  19. nissan megnite reviwe plz

  20. Hi.🙂 Can you please explain how do I turn off the intelligent driving permanently. It activates everytime I re-start the car. I want it to stay off. Especially the lane assist.

    Is it 4×4?

  22. our Kia Seltos 1.6 turbo gets 6.3 to 6.7 on average …Haval fuel consumption is in Subaru greedy territory …terrible.

  23. Buy a second mercedes 1995 model than this mother fuckrer

  24. Ripleys believe it or not

  25. I have the Jolion for a year , fuel consumption is at 7.2L/100km, mileage at 13196

  26. The only thing I don't like about this car is the steering wheel… too thin for my liking but everything else is not bad. But the H6 is so much better though, much better build

  27. This a good car

  28. Looks nice feels nice goes nice but what about long term reliability?

  29. Don't give a cent of your hard earned cash to the country that have spread covid all over the world n killed millions while not being held accountable. Oh and not to mention the Taiwan situation.
Give China nothing but a strong message that this is NOT OK.

  30. The car is very nice with impressive technology…but I'm not sure about realibity!

  31. Who's offering the extra 2 years for free?

  32. Fuel consumption is a problem for me. I've been looking into buying one. But now I'm not sure.

  33. Jolion vs. H6? Which one would you choose?

Haval vs. Cherry? Same question…which one? Is the warrantee really acceptable?

are the aircons in the Chinese cars strong and good enough for the "Africn Sun"?
