Floods hit Sydney: BBC News Review 2022

Thousands of people are being told to leave their homes in Sydney, Australia, after parts of the city had had eight months’ rain in just four days.

Experts say they are caused by the La Nina weather pattern – made worse by climate change.

  20. I find it interesting that you didn't address your differing pronunciations of "deluge".
    Neil used /delju:ʒ/
    while Beth used /'delju:dʒ/
    both being acceptable.

    Can we also say “far from being ideal”? Is it grammatically correct or “far from ideal” is the only possible option in this case?
