Where are you getting all these books? I wanted to go read on Canadian labour history (cause I’m Canadian). I went to the library and had to look up where they were, because they were next to like fiscal management books instead of with history. And there was one book on Canada, one on Poland, and maybe half a dozen on the US. Total. This was the newest, biggest, and nicest library in town. WTF
I got a trump ad on this video, that fucker.
Well that makes too much sense
when Germany invaded Poland, Lindberg made a pro-Nazi speech about industrialism, and a leading columnist of the day exclaimed "Dammit, they just discovered that Hitler is a good republican"!
History really wants to repeat itself, doesn't it?
A hell-minted match…
The Corporate World is authoritarian by design. Of course it will embrace Fascism, just like as happens today.
For the algorithm.
I really appreciate your review here. Saw it through MRonline. The quotes are great and the underlining. Let me know how I can help.
The canaries are dead. The smoke is visible. We're fucked
wow this hits different in 2020
Libs think taking guns will disarm the fascists. They'll only disarm themselves…
I think that this is the greatest thing on youtube.
However, it bothers me to no end that you mispronounce Et Cetera, which is a Latin phrase. You're obviously intelligent and well learned pls fix in the future. Et Cet-er-a.
11:15 the rise of a crapitalist establisment to replace the old capitalist establishment would be seeable in Yeltsin to Putin in russia
As long as union tops are crippling workers' movements, fascism; with aid of the big businesses will march to power with no difficulty.. Workers have to make drastic changes in the union tops ; question is how?
Thanks! I added this book to my wishlist because of reading Blackshirts and Reds by Parenti
Trump might be a racist corporate ass hole but is not a fascist, is not send armed gangs to beat workers in the streets.
Unions and socialist are a threat to the capitalists yet.
The situation was much different in Germany.
They almost got a communists revolution in 1919.
It's a very good book thought
I frickin love your channel.
Such a pertinent point about how the Left would limit themselves to reasoned debate – a war of letters – while the fascists organised roaming street gangs.
Great review as always.
I want to know why right-leaning people always say that fascism is a form o socialism.
They say that the nazis were similar to the USSR… or at leat practically the same. Can I ask you about State Capitalism and how was implemented in these so-called "socialists and comunists movements"?
Noam Chomsky said that the USSR wasn't socialist discripted by Marx, troskists say that stalinism was a pervertion of marxism… But it all comes to Lenin, right?
I'm new in this kind of topics, I just woke up from my capitalist dream when I started to do some research about the costs of a degree in the US… I just saw how horrible privatization can be.
I'm from Panama, but I have the US citizenship… I mean… I'm baffled.
I know nothing.
Is that the Pathfinder Press that is connected to the Socialist Workers Party?
"The Capitalist Establishment parading as anti-establishment" Very well said
I think the people of today understand some of the consequences of fascism but not how it becomes acceptable or where it comes from.
about 20-25% of this book was actually about Nazi/Fascist relations with big business and capitalism while the bulk of the book, chapters 2-8 was more of a material analysis of Fascism as a movement or belief system. It's still fascinating and a good book nonetheless.
The mainstream corporate news is fake.
