The story:
Boris Johnson is expected to personally ask President Biden to delay withdrawing the last American forces from Afghanistan to allow more time for the evacuation effort at Kabul International Airport.
The prime minister will make the request at an emergency meeting of leaders from the G7 group of countries tomorrow, which will take place via video link.
In just over a week, US troops are due to leave the airport, where Afghans who worked for the British military are among thousands of people trying to escape the Taliban.

What about the example you gave at the of the program concerning the verb push? U said it's the grammar structure as press, however I saw the preposition into before verbs with ing endings… his parents wanted to push him into getting married and not for getting married?

If the prime Minister wants to delay the withdrawal past the 31st of August deadline let him personally go over there too supervise and evacuate people! The Taliban have held off until the deadline after that they're going to start shooting bombing and killing people! All those people who are rushing to the airport now have known since April of 2021 if the United States was leaving they had all that time to get their paperwork together and leave the country but they've waited until the last minute and it's nobody's fault but they're own! They've done this because they knew they would get free flights instead of having to go to the airport before now where were they would have had to pay for their own flight! It's ridiculous that the prime minister is asking the United States to delay their departure past the deadline when THEIR LAST FLIGHTS LEFT THIS AFTERNOON!

It is amazing gow a word can have different meaning depending on the context. In programming "push" generally means adding elements to a data structure (e.g a stack). English is an interesting language.
