Thoughts on Episode 8?
This episode made me feel super shitty as a non drinker. Never get invited to anything where you can actually meet people.
still not sure all the hype about this kesha person, could have been any of dozens of random voice actors and been just as good IMO

I only now realize how much I want to see the Seven Princes. The three we've seen so far all have amazing designs and their personalities are a joy (although based on how Charlie talked about him in the Hazbin pilot, it seems like Lucifer is a class-A jackass).
Finally seeing another Prince of Hell feels like an event, and I'm there for it.
I look forward to the character compilation fan art for once all seven have made their appearances.
love the review! though i do wanna add that Loona choosing to stay a little longer at the party could be that a guy hitting on her is indulging directly into her ego which was also the reason she wanted to dip before, to be fair it has happened to me before and while im a bit ashamed of it i think thats a common experience a lot of people have.
also little side note but god do i love bee's design and kesha voicing her is just the greatest

I incredibly love how fast Blitzø arrived to pick up Loona. Maybe impossible since both were two rings apart, but even in deep sadness and a broken state, he would be there for Loona in a heartbeat.

I'm kind of bummed out some of my friends disliked the episode, calling it a filler with no purpose. I mean half of the show is a filler, wdym people?!?!? Even if it is filler, it's pretty enjoyable and action-driven, things just won't stop happening in this one.
I feel Queen B is toxic. She's literally the epitome of "never enough." Viv mentioned her lava-lamp belly is a visual representation of whatever Queen B consumes getting burned up fast.
She's getting something back from exploiting the Hellhound's over-indulgences under the guise of seeming super chill. She mentioned something about the Hellhounds were making her that sweet, sweet "honey" in the song. I'm guessing she's somehow taking their concentrated "vibes" during the parties and turning it into "honey" which she uses to manufacture the most potent alcohols and sugary treats for all 7 Rings.
If Willy Wonka was the manic pixie dream girl from Hell.
She reminds me of a dark empath…someone skilled at sensing other people's emotions and knows exactly how to narcissistically play them for her own gains. She SEEMS really cool…But Loona didn't seem to be buying her nicey-nice act.
Bee even deliberately poked at Vortex. She talked about Satan's shredded body and how she COULD sleep with him if she wanted, clearly playing on Tex's insecurities in public to make him jealous, which is low-key abusive. It's a dark hint of perhaps further emotional abuse where Tex never feels like he is enough for Bee.
She's what you want. Not what you need.
Loona on the other hand is someone who will be there if you need her. She may end up scooping up Vortex from Bee because she has more substance as a person and a partner.
All of this is just thoughts and opinions off the top of my head. I really loved this episode and I really love the beautiful but insidious nature of Bee.
Personally, I thought the episode was mid because there was barely any substance. Loona was kind of just there, but you know what made me annoyed? The queen of gluttony told Loona to go check on her dad, who is doing the one thing the entire ring is about GLUTTONY. That's like someone asking you why you're so quiet inside the library.
I also think there is a foreshadowing at the beginning of this episode, when Loona texted him "I'm her" that she wants to be just like Bee
Mmmmm…. I don't think that loona is really 🅒🅞🅞🅛 in this 8 episode. 😮
I assume the issue with Stolas is that he already had a wife and child, but then cheated with some random imp who, by all accounts, is a garbage partner. The Ozzie's scene came off as more "This toxic piece of flaming sh** got you to throw away your family?"
The divorce settlement convo focused more on the cheating without mentioning the status of the paramour, and when Stolas went to Ozzie's with an imp he wasn't embarrassed at all…until Blitzo's track record and his marital status were both called out.
Dang, Kesha really just said, “I’m out of the mess, release the kraken !” And the aforementioned kraken is now my new favorite pop song
I loved it. SO MUCH BETTER than season 2… I hope it improves 😑

I just realized while watching this video a second time that the dude who recognized Blitz is trans just like Sally Mae! 🏳️⚧️
He has thinner strips on his horns and a splotch in his hair indicating he bleached it white. I really do love they include details like this. Their background/ minor character designs are so diverse and say so much about them as individuals without the show having to spell it out. They deserve just as much love and appreciation as the main character designs.
That being said, I really do love bee-elzabub's design. Totally unique interpretation of the demon prince just like ozmodious! That hair never stops moving and it had to be a nightmare to animate but so worth the special!🤩
You know, it might be because of her reputation for self-indulgence and depravity that Bee is able to get away with dating a hellhound. She's not about high society and fancy opulence, she's a party girl who loves getting drunk and indulgence. The other high-ranking demons probably consider her "trashy" even though she's overall a genuinely nice person. If people like Stella or Ozzy (or that random Karen demon at the doctor's office) are the norm she is probably looked down on for doing what she does.
Also Viv said the hellhounds are "her people" which could probably add another layer to this. I don't know, we may probably get into some more lore about how Hell works here but the fact that she's dating (and throwing huge parties for) a hellhound doesn't break the writing for me it enhances it.
The unspoken rizz of Vortex is clearly unmatched. How did a hellhound pulled one of 7 rulers of hell.

I really like the episode and don’t get the “discourse” over B’s design. Cotton Candy was good, but it got very repetitive very fast and only hype and excellent animation managed to get me through the fourth and fifth time the chorus played. It’s a great song, but way to repetitive for my tastes
To be honest, I didn't like Cotton Candy and was actively wondering when it'd end

I think Luna wanting to go back in after being flirted with makes some sense. I mean I've been rejected by a girl at a dance before but then another girl who thought I was cute came up and asked me to dance and I went from being sad to happy in a few seconds.
I have yet to turn on the show. I love it. This episode was great (I wish your talked about Stolitzo implications but I understand it was very meager) but so fat my only problem is them losing Dayrl to play striker.
I really don’t get why people started dogging on S2 of Helluva boss it’s good. I’ve enjoyed helluva boss for what it is, and it’s really good for a web series that gets its development funds from almost completely merch.

I think bee is evil not just as bad as the other princes. You can't rule hell without it lol. I do feel she feeds off of their emotions, which is why she's constantly doing a vibe check.
This was a really good episode and gave Loona the spotlight that she deserves. Considering how underdeveloped and Kenny-like she was treated during season 2, this episode was a breath of fresh air and definitely worth the long wait.
I thought the "keep stuff that brings you joy" line, was a Marie Kondo reference XD

Bee feels like a Hound all by her own looks. She doesn't… even look like a fly at all. She can fly sure… But I am NOT really seeing the Fly motif at all on her. Which… is probably for the best.
