Just one run a week can significantly affect the length of your life. That’s according to scientists who say regular running reduces the risk of developing serious illnesses. Neil and Georgina discuss the story and teach you vocabulary in this free English lesson.

The story
Researchers say regular running, no matter how far or how fast, substantially reduces the risk of an early death. A team from Australia, Thailand and Finland examined data on nearly a quarter of a million people, and found that any amount of running was linked to a 27% reduction in mortality.

    All of them are in one sentence.

    e.g. If senior citizens take up jogging every morning as a gentle exercise, they could surely slash the risk of dying prematurely and keep running for their lives that provides a longer lifespan as well as a better quality of life.
