My review of British Airways brand new Club Suites business class onboard a refitted Boeing 777-300 from Dubai through to London.
I was really excited to try out their new product offering onboard the 777 aircraft. As ever with British Airways it was a case of so close yet so far when reflecting back on how they compare vs the very best across the industry. The new seat, is undoubtably is class leading across Europe and North America. It rights all the issues called out as downsides on the previous design and boasts incredible levels of privacy for a business class seat.
Areas to improve for the airline are largely around the soft offering with just 6 staff deployed across a 3 cabin business class stretching almost the length of the aircraft. This led to the service feeling rushed and things forgotten. The airline is not set up currently to allow the service to focus on the small things which really matter.
The price paid for this ticket was around £500 and 24,000 Avios points booked on a return basis. The typical cash price for the ticket return starts around £2000 – £2500 return.

Do they provide slippers?
Helo Travelers…….. International. Virgin Upper Class…… OR British Airways Business?
Which would you say is the better business class, the Neo plane or 777?
What’s the best seats for a couple? We currently have 11 F & 11 G. Do we need E/F?
Great review mate and spot on with the comments. Apparently it’s all changing in November!
I’m not absolutely convinced by the new suites, I was a big fan of the old product. The storage in the old club world was never a big problem especially upstairs in the 747 or a380 with the big window bins. Many bang on about the privacy being improved which is all very well if you’re travelling alone but if your travelling as a couple or family they are down right anti social & absolutely no good for keeping an eye of younger kids. In this respect the old product blows the suite’s out the water. I do take on board that climbing over peoples legs to get to the aisle wasn’t ideal, the IFE was needing an update & there was a lack of charging points etc in the old product though.
My family & I are booked on the 777 in club world from London to LA next summer, so I’ll find out then if my concerns are justified.
Excellent video thank you. You have a very positive manner. I developed a soft spot for BA because they got rid of masks first, and were less militant than some other airlines during Covid.
I’m seriously considering doing the same flight and seat class in the form of LHR-DXB and back, so thank you for the information. If I may suggest though, please turn down the music a little; I had difficulty hearing you sometimes.
Can we order food anytime same Quatar air?
We travelled on BA in April when we went to Florida abd the food was questionable . Not what you expect in Business class. The breakfast was a bacon and chutney roll . Mine had a lump missing and the crew served it to me ! My brand new suitcase was wrecked to. When we got back I complained . BA sent me £200 evoucher and a brand new suitcase. I did love the seating and enjoyed the privacy of the pods. Going virgin next time !
Great video! That landing footage back into LHR brings up many great memories.
