  19. Why does COP fail. COP fails because it is setup to fail. What needs to be done to fix the problem? Immediately reduce fossil fuels and cut emissions to zero, end subsidies for fuels, pay the real cost of fuel, transfer the funds to renewable energy and pay damages for the most effected. This is a basic need to move forward. Because of the need for every leader to agree it takes just one leader to disagree to end the proposal or you need to green wash it to the lowest ambitious in the pack! This means you are always bringing agreements to the low bar, the low bar is always going to be nothing close to what is needed! That is why it fails! It has been setup too fail by people who want it to fail! You need too reach for the highest ambitions of the leaders who are prepared to do what is needed and implement those ambitions! A coalition of the real statesman! With the rest, you drag them along with incentives or sanctions! To consider this as a democratic process is a mistake. It is a moral choice of right or wrong! The question is that do you want to leave the most important action that mankind needs to take to leadership with the least ambitions? Because that's precisely what you're doing! The scientists should map out the policy because they know what needs to be done and that needs implementation not voting on acceptance!

    Hello to both of you
I just laughed my head off hearing your "fossil insult" and Rob's left-handed joke insinuating that Neil is likely to swamp with beer…..Perhaps he has been fed up with the BBC Learning English team 's jokes about his biscuits addiction…..Thanks for this video ; it was simultaneously informative and funny

  29. Change the world's food system to plant based. By doing so the 70% of farm land would be released and used to reforest to absorb all the carbon needed.

  30. The climate crisis the world faces today is rooted in the global atmosphere of White supremacy, which is directly linked to global militarism, which by far is the biggest polluter on Mother Earth. SIMPLE, therein lies our problem. No amount of money can correct this psychological deficiency, a scourge on our planet. The solutions are SIMPLE, we must change damn near everything, starting with pseudoeducation, pseudo religion, and pseudosciences, that has humanity trapped unable to fix any of the critical issues of these Tryin' Times.
We have entered the time that goodwilled human being are seen as pathetic, we continue to do the same things expecting different results. Now Mother Earth and Father Sky are intervening on our behalf.

  42. What happened to "The English we speak" episodes . You've stopped uploading them.

  43. Fossil fuel is the mainstay of significant proportion of developing countries.

However the west developed their industrial might through fossil fuel, but now want it phased out with debatable "scientific" evidence they also created.

The replacement technology is created by the west & industrial nations like China, which they will sale to developing countries at exorbitant prices.

So this is effectively a deceptive ploy to emasculate the one and only key resource of developing countries that sustain them, which the west rely on. Then replace it with a technology and product which they (west) have monopoly on, and make the developing buy them at their own price or basically destruct.

A truly destructive ploy by the west to completely and further perpetuate their economic domination by eliminating the only remaining economic strategic tool the developing countries have and depend on – fossil fuel.

Can you see the Machiavellian ploy and con?

  44. thanks you so much

    I HOPE SHE IS WELL
